PageRank Updated For October, 2009

Yesterday I was doing research on how often does Google export the PageRank (PR) data to Google toolbar (TB). I found that the process is very erratic. There’s no fixed timetable for it, Google does it at its own whims and fancy. I was shocked. How could a world renowned company like Google go that way?

Where irrigation facility is not available, farmers gaze at the sky every morning trying to predict whether it would rain or not. Position of bloggers checking out their PageRank every morning is no different. Cloud-seeding technology might not be well-developed to bring sufficient rain. But if somebody says Google doesn’t have the technology to automate the process of updating PageRank on a pre-determined schedule, I just don’t believe it. Then, what’s preventing Google from making the PageRank data live (like Alexa Traffic Rank) or at least declaring the schedule for PageRank update?

I couldn’t think of a better person than Matt Cutt to ask this to. So, I posted a comment regarding this on his blog. And what a coincidence! Today morning I noticed that the PageRank of eZaroorat has been updated. I am excited to see the updated PageRank of eZaroorat:

Homepage: PR 1 (earlier PR 0)

Contact: PR 3 (earlier PR n/a)

Now you might be wondering what’s so great about PR 1 or PR 3? Well, it’s nothing compared to what I desire and aim for. But it carries the hidden message that eZaroorat is heading towards the right direction. By the way, did you know that eZaroorat is just 2 months old? The first post was published on 25th August, 2009.

Thank you one and all for your continued support. And don’t forget to check the PageRank of your blog. Probably, we’ll soon receive an official confirmation regarding the October 2009 PageRank update.

Hello, Thanks for the information. The article was very informative. I check my PR for my site literally everyday. I agree with you. I get PR 4 Now.

  2. Hi Mr. Gupta,

That was a nice article featuring pagerank. I just had a peep on your profile in Digg and wanna just see what comprises your blog. Good Blog by the way.

Regarding the PR of a website, congratulations for your updated PR. But for your information, Google PR is not at all considered important from the traffic end. PR is given because of the content, and links present in the website/blog or whatsoever. And do you know the new update of the google algorithm? Try to find that out, or ask me if you want, i will help you out.

    See ya
