Call it a virus, worm, trojan, malware, spyware or something else; a computer virus by any other name would smell as disgusting. It sneaks into your system right under your nose, without giving you the slightest hint. To make the situation worse, it’s always on the prowl – so much so that it’s almost impossible to run a computer without getting infected, if you don’t have a piece of antivirus installed.
Interestingly, just like the internet is deluge with viruses, the market is flooded with a huge number of antiviruses. With everybody claiming to be the best, users are left scratching their head trying to make out which one to buy.
There was a time when Norton and McAfee ruled the roost. Over the time, the market evolved, and then there came a time when other antiviruses like Kaspersky and BitDefender got rave reviews.
In this post, we will review Vipre Business antivirus and endpoint protection, which has taken over the old antivirus players within a short span of time.
What’s different about Vipre?
A Different Approach: Unlike traditional viruses (accounting for a meagre 4% of the total computer viruses), the new malware is far more sophisticated and calls for a complete shift in the antivirus technology. Most of the existing antiviruses fail to understand this and respond by merely retooling/revamping of, and adding new layers to, the existing technology.
Vipre on the other hand is not built on any of those traditional style existing antivirus engines. This promising piece of software is built on the VIPRE-RAM-thumbcore code, developed by the GFI guys after years of research. It helps you stay a step ahead of the malware perpetrators, who are getting smarter by each passing day.
Minimal Resource Usage: Most of the antiviruses out there are heavy on your RAM. They tend to slow down your computer so miserably that at times, you feel better off without them. Vipre on the other hand is surprisingly light. It is good at providing solid protection with negligible impact on your system’s speed.

I think it is to expensive, I mean AVG is free and works well if you don’t visit scam sites etc.
Hi, i too like AVG, in addition i run checks with spybot from time to time.
Hey…
I like Nod 32 Antivirus… but i want try vipre antivirus…if you provide trial version then send me link….
Thanx
I use ca antivirus and i think vipre is just way to procey. I also use avg on a few of my computers but I like the customer service you get from CA and the rootkit protection.
Thank you both….very useful information!
well may be it is good but it’ll be limited to the business only as no one in general spent that much amount for an antivirus , when its has other options available and that too free of cost
