Spelling plays an important role in English communication. Two similar words with different spelling can have different meaning. Hence, you need to know the correct spelling to write English correctly. Besides this, knowing correct spelling helps you to pronounce the word correctly and boosts your confidence while speaking English. Some words may look simple but may be difficult to spell. Chances are that these words are often misspelt.
Are you confident of spelling words correctly? Try these out. If not all, many of them may prove your confidence wrong. All the best!!
My spelling isn’t normally too bad but I have a real problem with words with silent letters, like phenomenon. For some reason I can never remember that these words have silent letters.
When trying to spell “Inconvenience” I often misspell it “Inconvience”. If you do a Microsoft Word spell check it replaces it with “Incontinence”…pretty inconvenient I would say!
